Description:


 

In this workshop, you will be invited to slow down and shift from attending to externals to focusing on your self. Simply opening to listen, to feel, what is here at the surface of your being that needs attending to.

A time of self-reflection through a lens of compassion and kindness,

A call to living mindfully… 

You will be supported in healing your nervous system, gradually recognizing that you can shift your perception, and make choices that expand your possibilities.

Perhaps, lean into a sense of openness and trust in all of Life to experience more clarity and create more freedom…

 

In our time together , you will: 


  • Inquire into why you may be feeling stressed or anxious a lot of the time

 

  • Recognize the patterned mental/emotional habits that you unconsciously engage in that have kept you or keep you feeling stuck in a negative loop

 

  • Gain an appreciation of how your autonomic nervous system functions (sympathetic/parasympathetic states), how to self-regulate (balanced response to your environment)) and a brief overview of the polyvagal theory

 

  • Acknowledge that you have choice (with the right understanding and support you can begin to alter your response to your past, harnessing your capacity for neuroplasticity, to create positive change)

  

  • Learn practical tools to calm your nervous system and create safety in your body and begin to notice how you return to a calm state of mind. 

 

  • Here are some of the practical tools and skills that will support you connecting with yourself:

·       breathing practices that calm

·       Somatic embodiment practices (grounding exercises and movement exploration, guided meditation, voice as healing tool, vagus nerve stimulation)

·       self-inquiry/journaling/ and group sharing (optional)

·       creative exploration and self-reflection time as a way of processing emotions and connecting to self

 

  • Gain a sense of inner knowing that a new way of being is within reach, as you find you’re able to respond to inner and outer environments from your whole self. (You can live in this state of heart/brain coherence more of the time)
